Wow, hello everyone! Whether you’ve stumbled upon this site by chance, are just discovering my work, or are here to learn more about me, you’re in the right place!
My name is Mayson Kukwa, and I’m the author of three published novels (with many more in the works). I’m 17 years old, born and raised in a tiny town in Ohio, and writing has always been my passion. Over the past few years, I’ve been hard at work creating stories that dive into the darker, more complex corners of human nature, filled with thrilling adventures, deep characters, and worlds unlike any other.
Recently, I completed the pilot script for my upcoming TV series, RoseThorn, which is based on my newest novel series, Operation Rose Thorn. While I won’t be able to take further steps with the show until my 18th birthday (June 15, 2025), I’m beyond excited to bring this project to life and share it with you all. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer!
In the meantime, I’m also juggling several other projects. One of them is ShadowRise, the next title in the Operation Rose Thorn series, which is still in its very early stages. As the story develops, I’ll be sharing more about its progress, so expect updates in the coming days.
Another major project is The One-Eyed King, the third installment in The Ballad of Gods and Men. Fun fact (or not so fun, really): I had the first draft of The One-Eyed King completed, and I was deep into revisions—fixing errors, filling in plot holes, and smoothing out the story—when a technical malfunction wiped out the entire manuscript. Yes, you read that right. It was all gone! So, I’ll be starting from scratch, but I’m determined to rebuild it even better.
Finally, I’m thrilled to announce Ink Stains, a dark, morbid novel about a teenage author by day and a serial killer by night. This one is going to be a wild ride, and I’m eager to dive into it. Expect Ink Stains to release within the next 281 days, and trust me, you’ll want to mark your calendars for this one.
As for the future of The Ballad of Gods and Men, once all four novels are released, I plan to adapt the series into an animated show. It’s a big dream, but one I’m committed to making a reality!
